Mrs Saxena at the Hotel Grand
In this new adaptation of Elizabeth Taylor’s 1971 classic novel Mrs Palfrey at the Clairmont, Mrs Saxena is rehoused in a London hotel after a flood…
She is happy as she thinks she will be seeing her only grandson and spending time with him. At the Hotel are other resident flood victims as well.
But her grandson never visits.
She meets struggling writer Siddartha Winor when she trips and falls on the street in front of his home. An unlikely friendship flourishes between them, bolstered by the fact that the residents of the hotel are under the impression that Siddartha is Mrs. Saxena’s mythical grandson.
